ClearRead CT Adopted Network Wide to Improve Patient Care
Jefferson Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia is a leading academic institution for thoracic imaging. As a leading institution serving its patient population, Einstein has a history of quickly adopting innovative technology to improve patient care. Einstein has the first U.S. site to adopt Riverain Technologies’ ClearRead CT enterprise-wide, and is an American College of Radiology (ACR) designated center for lung cancer screening, recognizing Einstein’s screening program for providing safe, effective care for at-risk lung cancer patients.
Early stage lung cancer can often go undetected due to a lack of symptoms, but prognosis and survival increase with early detection. As such, radiologists review every chest CT for incidental pulmonary nodules. This requirement is valuable to patient care, and a very demanding process.
To support radiologists’ workflow, Jefferson Einstein quickly adopted ClearRead CT and broadly deployed the technology to not only patients participating in lung cancer screening to have the broadest possible patient impact of early detection of lung cancer.
ClearRead technology seamlessly processes CT studies from all 13 of the Jefferson Einstein Medical Center’s CT scanners independent of manufacturer or acquisition protocols.
“The application enables identification of small nodules faster and more reliably.”
